About Zanaflex
Of the many symptoms of multiple scelerosis, perhaps the most painful physically, the most discomforting, is the spasticity that so often accompanies this disorder.
Zanaflex (Tizanidine) works on the Central Nervous System and relaxes muscles and helps you to lead a more normal life. Zanaflex has been proven to be less likely to cause muscle weakness than other spasticity treatments.
How to use Zanaflex
Use this muscle relaxer as directed by your health care provider.. Store at room temperature, away from heat and light. Any missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. However, if it is near time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.
Zanaflex Side Effects
Side effects of Zanaflex, that may go away during treatment, include drowsiness, dry mouth, flushing, or dizziness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience increased muscle weakness; trouble urinating or lack of bladder control; or change in emotions, mood, or behavior. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your health care provider.
